A Bulletin Board of Sorts
Since we meet at the Jericho Elementary School,
we don't have space for a bulletin board announcing all the interesting
UU events happening locally, regionally and nationally. This page serves as
that board. Feel free to browse. If you have something to add, please use the contact below.
- Fourth Annual PRO Lasagna Dinner and Easter Egg Hunt: March 22 (the Saturday before Easter) (click here for details)
- 2nd Annual Dance and Auction with Tammy Fletcher: April 5th, 2008 (click here for details)
- The PRO could use an extra set of adult hands: Our 5-8th grade youth group is a vibrant, active group of great young people, and I'm inviting you to experience their creative energy first hand - I could use an extra set of adult hands. Please consider signing up for a service or two this year. I will have a sign-up sheet with me at the next service, but am also looking for help at that service. So, if you want to jump right in, email me and let me know. We start each session with a chalice lighting while we sing Spirit of Life. Thanks, Karen Baron (kbaronvt@gmail.com)
- The New Sudan Education Iniative (NESEI)
is a partnership between Southern Sudanese and a global network of friends,
who are uniting the Diaspora to bring the gift of education home to Sudan to
ensure a lasting peace. MMUUF's Robert Lair and friend Atem Deng are the
Co-Founders, and Robert current serves as Co-Director. Visit their new website at
nesei.org.

- Napa Valley Experience - Wine Country Excursions
UU's of Napa, California, announce the second season of our UU Wine Country Excursions,
a delightful way to tour the scenic Napa and Sonoma Valleys. These small tours are
customized to your interests, e.g. wine tasting, art, history, gourmet dining, or
exploring the beauty of our hills and valleys. The tour includes private room/bath
and breakfast in the homes of congregation members. Special places include COPIA
(the American Center for Food, Wine and the Arts), Jack London's home, the Francis
Ford Coppola winery and movie museum, fine restaurants, many museums and galleries,
miles of bicycling and hiking trails, etc. We offer Excursions from April through October.
Plan for two days of touring and two or three overnight stays. Home hospitality without tours is also available. All proceeds benefit our small fellowship. We have limited openings, so contact us now for details. Tom Wilson (707) 254-7443 or twilson9@sbcglobal.net.
- Join the Chalice Lighter Program. The VT/NH District Chalice lighter
program supports projects in local UU congregations, by providing grants to 2 congregations
each year. Recent recipients include Derby Line, Plymouth, NH, Rutland, Milford NY, and
Bennington VT. Grants have been given for start-activities, hort-term ministerial
needs and one-time costs associated with growth. Individuals pledge $15 or more
twice a year, and all the money raised is distributed to the grant recipients.
Consider helping another congregation this year. Someday they may choose to help
us. Unfortunately there is no on-line form for this project.
Contact the District office for a copy of the form.

Discussion List Created for Theological Diversity A UUA-sponsored e-mail
discussion list has been created for conversation about the Engaging our
Theological Diversity report. The report concluded that an effort is needed
to better articulate who we are as UUs and what commitments we share. Follow this
link to subscribe to the list. The report itself can be borrowed from Dana Baron,
or ordered from the UUA Bookstore
or call 800-215-9076.
